Edit Cluster Basic Information

This section explains how to edit cluster basic information.

Note

KubeSphere does not support changing the name of an already added cluster.

Prerequisites

You should join a cluster and have the Cluster Settings Management permission within the cluster. For more information, refer to "Cluster Members" and "Cluster Roles".

Steps

  1. Log in to the KubeSphere web console with a user who has the Cluster Settings Management permission, and access your cluster.

  2. Click Cluster Settings > Basic Information in the left navigation pane.

  3. On the right side of the Basic Information page, click Edit Information.

  4. In the Edit Information dialog, set the cluster’s tag, provider, and description, then click OK.

    Parameter Description

    Tag

    Used to identify the purpose of the cluster. Values can be Production, Development, Testing, or Demo.

    Provider

    The provider of the cluster infrastructure.

    Description

    The description of the cluster. The description can contain any characters, up to 256 characters in length.
