Edit Storage Class Information

This section explains how to edit storage class information.

You can edit the alias and description of the storage class. KubeSphere does not support editing the name of an already created storage class.

Prerequisites

You should join a cluster and have the Storage Class Management permission within the cluster. For more information, refer to "Cluster Members" and "Cluster Roles".

Steps

  1. Log in to the KubeSphere web console with a user who has the Storage Class Management permission, and access your cluster.

  2. Click Storage > Storage Classes in the left navigation pane.

  3. Click more on the right of the storage class you want to edit, then choose Edit Information from the dropdown list.

  4. In the Edit Information dialog, set the alias and description for the storage class, then click OK.

    Parameter Description

    Alias

    The alias of the storage class. Aliases can be the same for different storage classs. An alias can only contain Chinese characters, letters, numbers, and hyphens (-). It cannot start or end with a hyphen (-) and has a maximum length of 63 characters.

    Description

    The description of the storage class. The description can contain any characters, with a maximum length of 256 characters.
